Case study
CM-Plus
A care management platform for staff, service users, scheduling, documentation and compliance in care services.
- Production use
- Demo available
- In production use with an Irish care provider.
- Demo login: username demo · password CMplus-Demo-2026 (a manager account; all data in the demo is fictitious).
The problem
Care providers operating across several locations need to manage staff, service users, daily records and compliance, while making sure each location and role sees only the data it should.
What I built
- Multi-location data isolation
- Role-based access control using staff designation levels
- Service-user records, daily logs and documentation
- Wellbeing assessments and a configurable form builder
- Payment request management
- Filtering and pagination across data-heavy views
My role
Sole developer, from August 2024: I gathered requirements with care staff, designed the multi-location data model and permission scheme, built the Django application and its two React single-page apps (a rota studio and a property-owner dashboard), and deployed and maintain it in production.

Technical challenges & decisions
Data isolation per location
Enforcing data isolation per location at the query level so no view can leak another location's records.
A permission model for the care sector
Designing a permission model around care-sector designation levels.
A flexible form builder
Building a form builder flexible enough for changing assessment templates.
